Home / About

Named after a defect. Built to find yours first.

A bad axle can put a truck out of service. A bad driver file or a missing log can do the same to a whole carrier.

Who we are

A Canadian consultancy for trucking safety, compliance and registrations.

Bad Axle Safety & Co. is based in the Greater Toronto Area, Ontario. We work with Ontario carriers running across Canada and into the United States.

In a small or mid-size fleet, compliance work usually sits on top of everything else the owner or dispatcher already does. We take that work off their desk: we review the records, explain what the rules actually require, and help put a system in place that the office can keep up.

How we work

What you can expect from us.

Straight answers

If a file is out of compliance, we say so and explain what it takes to fix it. We never promise an audit result.

Your records, not templates

Every review is built on your actual files, logs and abstracts, so the advice fits your operation.

Both rulebooks

Ontario, federal Canadian and U.S. requirements are checked together for fleets that cross borders.

Confidential by default

Driver records contain personal information. We handle them under Canadian privacy law and sign an NDA on request.

Scope

What we do, and what we don’t.

We do

  • Review records and explain the requirements that apply
  • Run mock audits and write gap reports
  • File registrations, IFTA and weight-distance tax returns
  • Organize driver files, ELD monitoring and testing programs
  • Train drivers and office staff on safety rules
  • Support you through regulator letters and audits

We don’t

  • Give legal advice or represent you in court (we work with licensed paralegals)
  • Perform mechanical inspections
  • Deliver MELT entry-level licensing courses
  • Guarantee audit outcomes or the absence of penalties

Know where your fleet stands before anyone else asks.
